Draft, not in effect. Prepared on 2026-11-07 for review by The Silly Llamas. It has not been approved or checked by a lawyer, and it does not apply yet. Highlighted items marked “Owner to confirm” must be completed first.
Our Android apps have their own published policies, which this draft does not change: Llamadoku Privacy Policy (opens in a new tab) and Llamadoku Terms of Service (opens in a new tab), Daily Games Privacy Policy (opens in a new tab) and Daily Games Terms of Service (opens in a new tab).
1. Who we are
This website is operated by Vincent John Carter, doing business as The Silly Llamas. “The Silly Llamas” is the name under which he publishes games. It is not a company, corporation or other separate legal entity. In this policy “we”, “us” and “The Silly Llamas” mean Vincent John Carter, who is responsible for this website and decides how the information described here is handled (the “controller” under European data protection law). We are based in Delaware, United States, and can be contacted by email (below). Owner to confirm: whether a postal (geographic) address must be published for European or other visitors. Until this is verified, no address is published, and a home address will not be used.
You can contact us at TheSillyLlamas@gmail.com.
2. What this policy covers
This policy covers the website at thesillyllamas.com (including www.thesillyllamas.com) and the free game Llamadoku when you play it in your web browser, which is delivered from games.thesillyllamas.com.
It does not cover our Android apps. Llamadoku and Daily Games for Android each have their own Privacy Policy on Google Play, linked at the top of this page, and those do not change. Websites we link to (for example our app support pages and policies on Google Sites, or your email provider) have their own policies.

4. Information we receive
4.1 When you visit the website or play the game
The website and the game are hosted by Cloudflare, Inc. (Cloudflare Pages for the website, Cloudflare R2 for the game files). Whenever your browser asks for a page or a game file, Cloudflare’s servers necessarily receive technical information to deliver it and to protect the service from attacks and abuse: your IP address, the address requested, the date and time, and what your browser sends with every request (such as its type and version, your language preferences and the page you came from).
- We do not combine this information with anything else, and we do not use it to identify you.
- Cloudflare may record it in logs and use it to operate and secure its network, and it shows us aggregate traffic and security statistics in our hosting dashboard. We keep Cloudflare’s Bot Fight Mode and email-address obfuscation switched off, so neither adds a cookie or a script to our pages, and our website and game responses set no cookies.
- If your browser cannot reach our website because of a network problem, it may send a short error report (Network Error Logging) to Cloudflare. Cloudflare enables this for the sites it hosts; reports are sent only for failed requests.
- When you open the Llamadoku page, the page briefly checks that the game server can be reached before you press Start. This is a normal request to our own game address, with the technical information described above.
4.2 When you email us
If you email TheSillyLlamas@gmail.com, we receive your email address, your message and anything you attach, and we use them only to reply and to keep a record of the conversation. Our email is provided by Google (Gmail), which processes messages under its own terms and privacy policy. Please don’t send us more personal information than needed. Children should ask a parent or guardian before emailing us. If a message shows that it comes from a child under 13, we reply to it once, if a reply is appropriate, and then promptly delete the message and the email address (section 8).
5. Information kept on your device
Llamadoku saves your progress in your browser so that you can carry on where you left off. This information stays on your device. The game does not send it to us or anyone else, and we cannot see it.
- Game progress and settings, kept in your browser’s storage (IndexedDB) for games.thesillyllamas.com: for example levels completed, puzzles in progress, llamas collected, daily-challenge days and streaks, hints, and settings such as music volume. It includes the dates on which you played or earned something, and a note of the date the game was first run in that browser.
- Game files, kept in your browser’s cache storage (about 100 MB) so the game starts faster next time without downloading everything again.
- Export Progress saves a backup file (for example
llamadoku-save-2026-11-07.json) to your device. It contains the progress and settings above, a short summary, the date and time it was made and the game version. It contains no name, email address or device identifier. Import Progress reads a backup file you choose. Neither sends the file to us. If you share a backup file, the person you give it to can see the progress in it.
The website pages themselves store nothing in your browser. Progress saved in one browser is not shared with other browsers or devices. Private or incognito windows usually delete it when they close.
You can delete everything the game keeps by clearing the site data for games.thesillyllamas.com in your browser’s settings. This permanently deletes your progress, so export a backup first if you want to keep it.
6. How and why we use information
- Delivering and protecting the website and game (section 4.1). For visitors in the EU, EEA and UK, the legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating a working, secure website. The technical information is necessary for that.
- Replying to your emails (section 4.2). The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering the questions people send us, or taking steps you ask for.
- Saving your progress (section 5) happens on your device, at your request, to provide the game you are playing. We do not receive that information.
We do not use information for advertising, profiling or automated decisions. Owner to confirm: the lawful-basis wording above after review (EU/UK GDPR).
7. No advertising or analytics
There is no advertising, analytics, tracking or social-media plugin on this website or in the browser game. The website loads its fonts, images and scripts only from its own address, and the game loads only its own files. If we ever want to add advertising or analytics, we will update this policy first, before they start, and ask for consent where the law requires it.
Advertising in our Android apps is separate and is described in each app’s own Privacy Policy.
8. Children’s Privacy
Our website and games are for a general audience, and players of any age, including children, are welcome. We don’t ask anyone for personal information. There are no accounts, chat, profiles, contact forms or advertising,no analytics, and no way to share information with other players. The game does not ask for your age.
Our games have cartoon characters and may appeal to children, so this section explains exactly what happens when a child visits.
- Technical information (IP address and similar request data). Delivering any web page requires the visitor’s IP address. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, uses this information, for every visitor including children, only to deliver the website and game (network communications) and to protect them from attacks and abuse (security). We do not use it, or allow it to be used, to contact anyone, to build a profile of anyone, for advertising, or for any other purpose. We don’t combine it with other information.
- Email. If a child under 13 emails us, we use the email address only to reply once to that request, if a reply is appropriate, and then promptly delete the message and the address. We don’t add it to any list or contact the child again.
- Game progress stays on the device (section 5). We never receive it.
We collect no other personal information from any visitor, so we don’t ask for anyone’s age. A parent or guardian can ask us at TheSillyLlamas@gmail.com to delete any email their child sent us, and can delete the child’s game progress by clearing the browser’s site data for games.thesillyllamas.com. Owner to confirm: legal review of children’s-privacy obligations before this policy takes effect: whether the website (or the Llamadoku pages) would be treated as directed to children or as a mixed audience under the US Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA Rule, 16 CFR Part 312, as amended in 2025); whether the IP-address processing qualifies for the “support for internal operations” exception (§ 312.5(c)(7)) and email for the one-time-response exception (§ 312.5(c)(3)); whether the home page needs a separately labelled link to this children’s notice (§ 312.4(d)); and any EU/UK age rules. Do not describe the site as COPPA- or GDPR-compliant until this is reviewed.
9. Service providers and international transfers
- Cloudflare, Inc. (United States, with servers worldwide): hosting, content delivery and security for the website and game files.
- Google LLC (Gmail): our email, if you write to us.
We do not sell personal information, and we don’t share it with anyone else, except where the law requires it. These providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where European data protection law applies, transfers are protected by the safeguards these providers offer. Owner to confirm: the transfer safeguards to name for Cloudflare and Google (for example their data processing terms, Standard Contractual Clauses or EU-US Data Privacy Framework certification), after checking their current documentation.
10. How long information is kept
- Technical information: kept by Cloudflare only for as long as its own retention policies allow for operating and securing its network. We do not keep separate copies.
- Emails: kept for 12 months after the conversation ends, then deleted. We delete them by hand: we check our mailbox at least every three months, so an old conversation is deleted no later than three months after its 12 months are up. Deleted messages are removed from the mailbox’s trash within 30 days. When a message is identified as coming from a child under 13, we reply to it once, if appropriate, and then promptly delete the message and the email address, subject to any legal requirement to keep it (section 8).
- Information on your device: kept until you delete it (section 5). We cannot delete it for you.
11. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask us for access to the personal information we hold about you, to correct or delete it, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive a copy of it. Visitors in the EU, EEA and UK may also complain to their data protection authority. In practice, the only personal information we hold is in emails you have sent us; information kept by the game is on your own device, where you control it. To make a request, email TheSillyLlamas@gmail.com. We may need to confirm it is really you before we act, and we will reply within the time the law allows. Owner to confirm: whether an EU and/or UK representative must be appointed (GDPR / UK GDPR Article 27; there is an exception for occasional, low-risk processing that may apply), and any US state privacy-law wording that applies.
12. Security
The website and game are served only over encrypted connections (HTTPS), with security headers that limit what other sites can do with our pages. No one can sign in, so there are no passwords to protect. Your game progress is protected by your own device and browser. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
13. Changes to this policy
We will update this policy when what we do changes, for example before any advertising or analytics could start, and change the “last updated” date. Significant changes will be shown clearly on this website. Owner to confirm: the effective date, set when the owner approves the final text.
